Pricing
Every price and fee for households and for cleaners. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any VAT due.
For households
- The price of a clean
- The cleaner's offer. It is shown in full before you book.
- Service fee
- 10% of the cleaning price, at least £2, on cleans booked from a posted job. There is no service fee on regular cleans with your preferred cleaner, or with a cleaner who invited you.
- When you pay
- Your card is saved and checked when you add it. Nothing is taken when you book. The card is charged after the clean, once your cleaner marks it done, or 24 hours after the clean was due to finish.
- Cancelling
- Free up to 24 hours before the clean. Inside 24 hours, you pay 50% of the cleaning price, which goes to your cleaner, with no service fee.
- Moving a clean
- Up to 3 free moves per booking, when your cleaner agrees the new time.
- If your cleaner cancels
- You pay nothing.
- Tips
- Optional, £1 to £50, after a paid clean. 100% goes to your cleaner.

For cleaners
- The app
- Free to download and use. The free plan has up to 5 clients. Households who book you once through the app don't count until they have a regular booking with you. It also has 10 text, WhatsApp or email messages a month sent from the app, and the Lemonade theme. Messages with clients who use the client app are unlimited on every plan.
- Clean Spaces Pro
- £6.99 a month, paid through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel any time in your Apple or Google Play settings. Pro adds unlimited clients, unlimited texts, WhatsApp messages and emails, invoices, 7 more colour themes, new jobs 30 minutes before free cleaners see them, instant payouts once you're eligible (Stripe charges 2%, at least £1), and priority support.
- Payment fee
- Clean Spaces keeps 3% of each card payment, for a clean or a late cancellation fee, to cover card and payout costs. Tips have no fee. The household's price does not change.
- Your own clients
- No service fee for your invited or regular clients. Card payments from any client carry the 3% payment fee.
- Payouts
- Every Friday, to your bank, through Stripe. Weekly payouts are free. You sign up for payouts in the app, including Stripe's identity check.
- Instant payouts
- For Pro cleaners, from one month after payouts start and after six cleans paid through the app. Stripe charges 2% of each instant payout, at least £1.
- Minimum price
- No offer can be below £17.50 an hour in London or £15 an hour elsewhere, so cleaners are never pushed below a living wage. Every booking is at least 2 hours.
